The Waiting Game

It’s not fair, eh?

We got you all hyped up about our new blog and now we haven’t posted anything for weeks!  Sorry to bore you, but we’ve mostly been playing the waiting game: waiting for documents to be received by immigration, processed, returned to us, etc.  In the meantime we’ve spent some wonderful time with family and friends, traveling around Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, our beloved home provinces.

It’s been amazing to see how Charlotte, our one and only niece, has grown and really begun developing a personality of her own.  She watches everything that we adults do so intently, trying to figure it all out and mimicking whatever she can.  I never knew that putting on socks could be so fascinating until I did it in front of a 1-year-old!

The week with my parents was filled mostly with car appointments, eating yummy food, and shopping.  I think we’ve got all of our “teacher clothes” now, since they’ll apparently be difficult for us to find in Korea, especially for Kathryn.  We may need to call upon some of you to mail us miscellaneous items from time to time (letters must be included, so don’t commit unless you’re prepared to write!).

Now we’re on our last Canadian stop: Kathryn’s home in Kentville.  It’s pretty nice hanging out around the fireplace, except that sometimes I get so warm that I feel like I’m suffocating.  Our visa numbers should be sent to us any day now, after which we need to send our passports to Montreal to get stamped.  This could take some time, but apparently it’s all going to work out… our recruiter has been confident, anyway.

So there’s a little update, just to let you know that we’re alive and well.  We can see the stats from this blog by the way, so we know that dozens of people have visited but only 2 or 3 have commented…  Not good folks, this is a supply and demand scene, so you’ve gotta give us more feedback and then we’ll know that you want more!

Finally, to appease those of you who are more visually inclined, here’s a photo of – you guessed it – our beautiful niece Charlotte:

That’s all for now ladies and gents, we shall keep in touch!
